He went to Brockville, presumably by train. He was ordained Deacon at St Peters Church, 24 May 1891. He served as curate at that church until his appointment to Crysler 28 Sept of that year. During his time in Brockville he was billeted at the McMullen home on Apple Street. The youngest daughter was Alice. They were married at St Peters, Brockville 29 June 1892.
